hey guys welcome back to my channel today I’m showing you how to cook brown rice perfectly for your weight loss meals a couple of days back I shared a healthy fried rice recipe with brown rice and some of you wanted me to share a detailed video on how to cook non sticky brown rice as you can see the brown rice is non sticky and perfectly cooked the best part is it takes just 15 minutes to cook brown rice so without wasting much time let’s get started with the recipe I’m using 1/3 cup of brown rice which is 60 grams of rice soak the brown rice in water for at least 15 minutes soaking the brown rice will help the rice to cook faster and also will help to remove the phytic acid content in the grain phytic acid is a nutrient inhibitor so it is recommended that you soak the rice for at least 15 minutes before cooking ok now it’s 15 minutes since the brown rice has been soaking so I’m gonna wash and rinse the rice a couple of times so until the water runs clear another thing which I make sure when I am cooking brown rice is to use a heavy bottomed pan as it retains more heat and hence speed up the cooking process now into the saucepan I’m adding in four cups of water so this is another tip to get non sticky rice you need to add in more water so that the rice is cooked in plenty of water add in pink Himalayan salt as needed and allow the water to come to a boil even when the water is getting boiled I’m keeping the rice still soaked in the water to give more soaking time okay now the water has started to boil and now I’m adding in the soaked brown rice I am using a spoon to add the rice into the hot water now give it a stir and allow the water to come to a boil and once the water comes to a rolling boil put the flame to medium and let it simmer for 15 minutes you can also put a timer okay after 10 minutes I’m checking whether the rice is getting cooked or not as you can see it is almost percent cooked okay now 15 minutes is over and let me just show you how perfectly their rice has cooked turn off the flame and strain the water so that the excess starch is also removed transfer the rice into a strainer and keep it for three minutes also so that the water is completely drained see how non-sticky the rice is you can use this rice to make fried rice tomato rice or simply have it with dal or your favorite curry the rice is d stashed fluffy soft and non sticky perfect to include in your weight-loss meals and the best part is it took just 15 minutes to cook the brown rice so guys do try this and let me know how this turned out don’t forget to like comment and share this video with family and friends thank you for watching and until next time take care bye bye
